The Hudson High School Varsity Girls Basketball Team recognized their Seniors last night and pulled away with a nail biting win over third place Greenville, 48-45. The seniors stepped it up last night and according to Coach Tom Super "they refused to lose." Seniors Cori Jepsen led the team with a season high and game high 24 pts., including 8 rebounds and three assists while Nae Nae Sheard added 13 pts. and 7 boards for the Lady Bluehawks. Monique Bell had 7 rebounds to go with a point, Ronnie Mayhew had 4 boards and 4 points and Aziara Walker had 5 rebounds and a pair of assists. Autumn Jones also gave a tremendous effort on the defensive end of the court guarding Greenville's best player nearly the entire night. The vast majority of this team is seniors, most of which have played together for over six years.
This victory moves the girls into a solid second place behind Maple Hill, who has not lost a Patroon Conference game in over six years. The two teams will match up Tuesday night at Maple Hill to decide who will win the Patroon Conference.
